Internet user Indonesia June 30 2008. Tomy Feryadi

GM Sales & Customer Service Telkomsel Mirza Budiwan mengatakan

"Tarif bandwith internastional memang turun sejak awal tahun 2008, namun masih bekisar 1.500 dolar AS-1.800 dolar AS per Mbps," kata Silvya.

Tips on writing good article

On writing

The “nut graf:” the familiar paragraph (“graf”) containing the kernel (“nut”) of most significant information. This format is so well-established that many people believe that its “who, what, when, where, and why” structure represents the essence of writing. The chief virtue of nut grafs is their speed—the way they quickly focus the attention of journalists, editors, and readers on the essentials of a story. If writers and readers were as unhurried today as they were in, say, the 1830s, then there would be far fewer nut grafs.

The “soft lede:” an easy-to-write form of anecdote, generally one or two paragraphs long, that provides an accessible, “human-faced” entry point into a complex piece of news The headline and subhead—highly stylized formats, often created on the copy desk, that cue readers to the key facts that will influence whether or not they read a particular article.

The picture caption—a format invented in 1886 by French photographer Paul Nadar.

Captions are often the first part of a news story people read; they welcome us into the story in a way that photographs, alone, could not, by identifying what important people and places look like.

The narrow column (making it easier to read long stories), , and many more. The purpose of such formats is not to create deathless journalism. By establishing stylistic conventions, they eliminate the number of decisions that have to be made, thus reducing the cost and increasing the speed of “good-enough”. They allow any half-decent reporter to observe an event at 4 PM, turn in a story about it over the phone to an editor at 7 PM, and know that it can appear in the next morning’s, on a reasonably small budget.

Managing Growth

Here is the trick

To manage a dramatic growth is To vigorously – and meticulously -- enact a distinctive set of relationship management processes. To support business development function was introduced to directly support and, in some ways, even manages the professionals who are selling. The central theme is process – to repeatedly, systematically and strategically implement business development processes with potential clients, and to emphasize referrals in highly “networked” industries.

“Eighty percent of success is showing up” With “get-it-done” attitude. Central coordination. Along with heightening its expectations for professionals, built a framework of extraordinarily coordinated, centralized and proactive internal support that enables professionals to plan, manage and grow their relationships. It resembles a hive of activity on two levels:

Selling support. Business development managers follow up on all new contact. They arrange meetings, request premeeting research, and obtain directions, They review proposals prior to their delivery to a prospective client.

Strategic account management and planning guidance. account plans aren’t the drivers of business development initiatives; they are the result of them,” PIC of the timetable for reinitiating longer term opportunities. They maintain and monitor a centralized contact management and calendar database, enabling them to work side-by side with the vice presidents to manage both current and potential client opportunities. Twice a year, they lead detailed account reviews and forecasting sessions.

Collaboration. None of this bustle of activity could succeed without a deep commitment to collaborate internally. Their administrators, business development professionals and marketing professionals agrees to perform a set of matrixed tasks in order for the others to work effectively. A set of norms has been adopted that everyone follows. For example, two vice presidents are expected to attend each sales appointment. Another example is that vice presidents are expected to proactively build their database of contacts, and to plan the frequency of contact with them.

No secrets. Collaboration couldn’t occur if an organization had a closed-door culture.
Measurement. With its no-secrets ideology, commitment to measurement works well.

Training. training programs set the tone for its cultural norms on developing relationships. They also teach the professionals about the firm’s unique process and its eventual measurement. Now, are you ready?

Citibank ATM Hacked

Some one had succeed getting atm card and pin, which is the primary need for electronic transactions. Pocketing at least $750,000 in cash, according to federal prosecutors. Citibank denies the threat level of the bank security, But the bank's representatives warned the FBI on February 1 that "a Citibank server that processes ATM withdrawals at 7-Eleven convenience stores had been breached," according to a sworn affidavit by FBI cyber-crime agent Albert Murray.

"Citibank identified all of the account numbers involved in ATM withdrawals during the period that the server was compromised … and established a fraud alert system that notifies Citibank each time one of the compromised Citibank account numbers is used," the affidavit had written.

Possibly the hackers had not access to stored account numbers and PINs, but instead were tapping into transactions in real time to vacuum up PIN codes.

The hacker is 32-year-old Ukrainian immigrant Yuriy Ryabinin. Also charged is 30-year-old Ivan Biltse, who allegedly made some of the withdrawals, and Angelina Kitaeva. Ryabinin's wife is charged with obstruction of justice in the investigation.

When they raided Ryabinin's home, agents found his computer logged into a carding forum. They also found a magstripe writer, and $800,000 in cash, including $690,000 in garbage bags, shopping bags and boxes stashed in the bedroom closet. Another $99,000 in cash turned up in one of the safe deposit boxes rented by Ryabinin and his wife, Olena. Biltse was also found with $800,000 in cash.

Marketing Traffic

1. Ecommerce site traffic -- where do high-growth online merchants get their traffic from? What's the breakdown between sources such as search vs email?

2. Affiliate marketing -- are merchants continuing to add new rules about affiliates use of search and trademarks?

3. Eyetracking lab data -- when consumers visit ecommerce sites, what do their eyes look at? How many images? How much copy? Do they scroll below the fold? What's the most clicked part of the page? (PDF includes four-color "heatmap" of lab test results from Wal-Mart's home page.)

4. ROI -- How are marketers actually measuring ROI from e-retail marketing tactics? Which numbers really matter? (Data from 1,101 marketers on this.)

5. Online shoppers -- why do consumers abandon some sites without purchasing? We asked 1,120 real-life shoppers what sometimes stops them from completing transactions.

Challanges for Kompas.com

Branding is not Slapping a Logo in a Product

Launching a branding campaign

First effective and efficient strategy is Brand Momentum, Brand Momentum is an index of a brand’s short-term growth rate, 1 year is the average short term growth. A brand’s growth potential also depends on its current market share and awareness rates. Measured by Brands ability to increase Market share, value increase and sector growth rate in the country and category. Brand should have a vision of 30 years period of product image. Fun and appealing to all people will get much attention.

Make sure consumers know

Before communication plan could be executed identifying the key driver of the brand value, understanding how to influence and then activate the plan. Communication plan should be drafted for the next quarter with measurements to give the company competitive advantage. Those subjects could be done after the character of the market is carefully studied. Brand and value is extremely important, let say in the case of Coca-cola and Pepsi two identical product, here brand plays major role identifying and choosing customers. Brand is the face of your company and product.

“[Branding is] a 15-second elevator pitch that every employee in The organization can not only get and articulate, but can talk about their role in bringing that to life.”

Blue Energy

Mari kita manfaatkan energy sebaik-baiknnya. Energi seharusnya gratis, dan tidak di monopoly.

Music are free

What happen when informations are free,
Data, music, images and video are totally free and cost no money. Yep let the music be free is Steve Jobs said "Why join the Navy if you can be a Pirate".

Quote:
(kaset/cd)
Jangan sampai kasetnya gak punya tapi koleksi mp3 bajakannya lengkap! walah... itu namanya merugikan DEWA yang kita cintai.

~love you all, love DEWA~

First of all, lagu-lagu Dewa banyak yang jiplakan dari lagu barat.
How could someone that pirate idea from someone else is crying about piracy, Nobody buys cassette anymore it is even harder to find the cassette player than to find cd player. Standard feature for portable DVD and PC player that plays CD audio files and everybody had this.

Dewa benefit from piracy and I don't need to get technical on this, Dhani is running his entetainment scheme through live shows, sponsorship and endorsement.

Music will be free, whether anyone like it or not. Rite now I'm downloadin podcast from www.urb.com and by the way, it is so much easier to copy than to down load, so you just cannot stop p2p and please do not be greedy about it.

This is Steve Jobs commenting on Wall Street Journal

Read the whole thing yourself. But the meat is here:

The third alternative is to abolish DRMs entirely. Imagine a world where every online store sells DRM-free music encoded in open licensable formats. In such a world, any player can play music purchased from any store, and any store can sell music which is playable on all players. This is clearly the best alternative for consumers, and Apple would embrace it in a heartbeat. If the big four music companies would license Apple their music without the requirement that it be protected with a DRM, we would switch to selling only DRM-free music on our iTunes store. Every iPod ever made will play this DRM-free music.

Why would the big four music companies agree to let Apple and others distribute their music without using DRM systems to protect it? The simplest answer is because DRMs haven't worked, and may never work, to halt music piracy. Though the big four music companies require that all their music sold online be protected with DRMs, these same music companies continue to sell billions of CDs a year which contain completely unprotected music. Thatb

In 2006, under 2 billion DRM-protected songs were sold worldwide by online stores, while over 20 billion songs were sold completely DRM-free and unprotected on CDs by the music companies themselves. The music companies sell the vast majority of their music DRM-free, and show no signs of changing this behavior, since the overwhelming majority of their revenues depend on selling CDs which must play in CD players that support no DRM system.

So if the music companies are selling over 90 percent of their music DRM-free, what benefits do they get from selling the remaining small percentage of their music encumbered with a DRM system? There appear to be none.

DARPA URBAN

One day, automatic or assisted driving may be a standard feature on your car, like automatic transmission is today. But on the battlefield, a vehicle that drives itself means a human being out of harm’s way. On November 3, DARPA aims to test the limits of research and capabilities of autonomous vehicles in the 2007 Urban Challenge.

JOKO BLUE ENERGY

Blue Energi developer Joko Suprapto

http://rusdimathari.wordpress.com/2008/05/22/dicari-joko-suprapto/

My question is “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?”
